Position Summary

As a Presales Engineer at Vensure Employer Services, you will play a pivotal role in providing customizable business solutions to our clients. Your expertise will help businesses of all sizes navigate the complexities of human resources, payroll, and benefits administration. This role requires a strong background in computer science, customer service, software as a service (SaaS), and business management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Presales Engineer serves to make sales successful, is directly incented by sales success and takes tremendous pride is driving a team success that yields tangible results in sales ultimately closing.
  • The Presales Engineeris required to have in-depth knowledge of best practice and solution framework around PEO, HCM and ancillary product capabilities as needed.
  • Participate in Discovery calls pre-demo to uncover and understand complexities, as needed.
  • Review demo requests submitted through SalesForce CRM to ensure client challenges are clear and understood.
  • Engage with clients to understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals. Collaborate closely with them to design tailored solutions that align with their budget and business objectives.
  • Maintain + update all demo environments regularly.
  • Sell technical concepts to prospects with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Provide ongoing training to members of the sales team.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of Canadian-specific benefits, deductions, and statutory holidays.
  • Proficiency in configuring and testing payroll software specific to the Canadian market
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal payroll requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French (an asset).
  • Awareness of regional variations in payroll practices across different Canadian provinces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand technology and ability to work with technical people
  • Strong understanding of HR, payroll and benefits processes
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to confidently present product and solution information to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and provide deliverables to agreed timeframes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a Payroll/HCM consulting, solutions, or implementation role is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year's experience in B2B sales preferred but not required
  • Must speak/read/write French at a high level intermediate level as they will be presenting in French as some of the software is in French.
  • Must have recent experience doing demos/presentations on a consistent basis.
