Position Summary

A finish carpenter is a skilled professional who adds the final touches to carpentry projects. Here are some key responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting blueprints: Finish carpenters work from blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet client specifications
• Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials: They use hand and power tools to create and install detailed structures and fixtures, primarily using wood
• Installing final touch items: This includes molding, trim, stairs, doors, cabinets, shelving, and hardware
• Repairing and replacing damaged wood products or fixtures
• Ensuring proper installation and safety standards for all carpentry structures
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the worksite
• Ordering supplies and materials as needed
• Coordinating with other professionals and communicating with clients

Qualificaitons

• High School diploma desired but not required
• 2-3 years with carpentry experience, could be as framers, finish or regular carpenters.
