Position Summary

The successful candidate will have an emphasis on diagnosing the toxicoses impact on the livestock and poultry industries, animal production, food sources from animals, wildlife, and companion animals. The role requires active interaction with nutritionists, veterinarians, livestock producers, and regulatory agencies, applying innovative veterinary toxicology solutions to address complex animal health issues. Additionally, scholarly contributions, including publishing diagnostic findings in peer-reviewed journals, are essential

Essencial Duties and Responsabilities

  • Research and Develop New Products related to our industry of animal feed additives:
    • Understand the virtues and performance of our existing products.
    • Recognize the nutritional challenges of the animal producer industry.
    • Client potential solutions for nutritional and economic value.
    • Duplicate and improve existing products in the industry.
  • Diagnostic Toxicology:
    • Diagnose toxicoses affecting livestock, poultry, and other animal sectors.
    • Apply innovative veterinary toxicology methods to resolve animal health challenges.
    • Develop and improve diagnostic procedures for effective and accurate results.
  • Client and Shareholder Interaction:
    • Communicate with veterinarians, livestock producers, and regulatory agencies on diagnostic findings and toxicology insights.
    • Provide client-focused, service-oriented diagnostic solutions to support animal health.
  • Research and Scholarly Contribution:
    • Engage in scholarly research using diagnostic case materials.
    • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals to contribute to advancements in veterinary toxicology.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, inclusive environment.
    • Foster a workplace culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Teaching and Mentorship:
    • Demonstrate an aptitude for teaching and a desire to mentor others in veterinary toxicology.
    • Engage in collaborative toxicology research projects as desired

Education & Experience

  • DVM or equivalent degree required; advanced degree in toxicology or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Certification: Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) is preferred.
  • Clinical experience and competence in veterinary toxicology.
  • Demonstrated aptitude or experience in teaching is highly desired.
  • Interest in collaborative research in toxicology is an advantage.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
