In this role, you must excel at creating and closing new opportunities through cold calling Property Managers and Building Owners to provide annual maintenance agreements. Utilizing a consultative approach to selling, you will become the trusted advisor to your customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build Your Book
    • Be fearless, persuasive, and focused engaging with prospects
    • Hunt for new business, through cold-calling, emails, jobsite and client visits
    • Speak with clarity, and conviction whether in-person or on the phone
    • Create your sphere of influence and generate referrals; engage in networking events in-person or virtual
    • Prioritize and organize daily activities utilizing CRM Software
  • Generate Proposals
    • Become familiar with the local building and fire code, and Fire & Life Safety Systems
    • Attain required documents, estimate cost and generate proposal
    • Identify gaps in the prospects current service offering
    • Engage with your team internally and uncover strategies to add new value to your customer
  • Close the Deal
    • Be proactive, from initial contact to close
    • Negotiate with customers, leveraging the various agreement options and incentives for conversion
    • Engage internal resources and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist in closing as required
    • Develop rapport with clients and become their preferred partner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated track record of sales success in a competitive bidding environment.
    • Construction, electrical, and/or regulated environments a plus.
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong intellectual curiosity with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Self-motivated to set and achieve goals.
  • Highly competitive.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods of time, 90% of the day and talk or hear 100% of the day.

Education & Experience

  • B2B Sales experience, required.
  • Extensive Cold Calling Experience, required.
  • Required, 4+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Preferred, 4-year Bachelor Degree or 2 year associate with 6 years successful B2B sales .
