Our company has more than 30 employees, who provide free services and resources across a broad range of civil legal issues that impact health, safety, and self-sufficiency. Every year, We help the most vulnerable members of our community find their voice, regain control of their lives, and build a brighter future.
Through education, effective litigation, and collaboration, we work tirelessly to expand access to justice for all, identify needs in our community, and challenge systems, laws, and policies that adversely affect the underserved and marginalized.
Position Summary
The receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, dealing with inquiries on the phone and face to face.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer the phone, transfer calls, and conduct initial applicant eligibility pre-screens.
- Supply information regarding the organization to the general public, clients, and applicants.
- Presents the first impression of the organization to clients, applicants, and the general public.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Demonstrated capacity to exhibit sensitivity to clients.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and successfully pass a secretarial skill test.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to interact with community members in a professional, efficient, and compassionate manner.
Education & Experience
- This is an entry level positions but we would prefer one – two years of experience working in reception.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
