Position Summary

The HR Compliance Manager serves as a subject matter expert with domestic federal, state, and local employment laws and participates in global employment law research to help ensure resources, content, and guidance are available to multiple decision makers. This role manages resource libraries, audit practices, creates tools, templates and guides for both domestic and global HR Compliance content. The HR Compliance Manager will help write, publish and facilitate webinars for HR Compliance content in various forms throughout the business. The HR Compliance Manager will also partner with key stakeholders on learning strategy, guidance, and employment law and legislation tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, and develop team members, and manage team performance, engagement and experience.
  • Create KPIs, goals and project plans to develop strategically aligned activities to business objectives.
  • Manage and oversee project management of HR compliance initiatives to ensure assigned department leaders and representatives follow through with action items to comply with new and existing laws; ensure project outcomes are documented, closed, and conduct post-project evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with research, analyze and track current and upcoming legislative bills, ordinances and HR legal updates on global, and domestic and assist with appropriate, communication, education and guidance.
  • Assist with maintaining internal resources and compliance libraries of information, tools, resources, and templates.
  • Create HR Compliance Content that will serve as publication on internal and external sites for both internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with departments within the Vensure Enterprises, communicating and sharing all necessary information to mitigate risk and maintain ongoing compliance.
  • Audit existing and upcoming HR Compliance content for regular maintenance and partner with key stakeholders on any updates.
  • Prepare, facilitate, and maintain Monthly PowerPoint presentations and internal Live Q&A Sessions with department leaders.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming compliance inquiries and collaborate with internal departments to review and communicate various best practices in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Engage in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members and peers across all Vensure departments
  • Continue to develop increased knowledge of resources and content relative to federal, state, and local laws by conducting proactive research through multiple sources, such as government agencies, law firms, and HR sources.
  • Manage the delivery of continuous improvement recommendations to HR leadership to ensure documents, processes and procedures communicated to client companies are up to date

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of employment laws and local, federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness at all levels in the organization and across cultures.
  • Ability to conduct extensive research and analyze various types of data.

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Legal, HR, or International studies, or equivalent combination of experience, skills, education (including other relevant non-traditional degree programs, certifications, or job training programs) preferred.
  • Paralegal or other relevant experience preferred.
  • At least five years in leadership, people management, or HR Management
