Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, reach-ins, and air conditioning units.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and execute high-quality, efficient repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize system performance and life span.
  • Maintain detailed service records, including diagnostics, parts used, and follow-up recommendations.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and building code standards.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and facility staff to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Stay up to date with evolving technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Provide fast food restaurant maintenance support.
  • Commute between locations as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and control mechanisms.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple service calls independently and efficiently.
  • Availability for after-hours, weekend work, and on-call rotation.
  • Ability to commute between locations.
  • Fluent in English and able to converse in English
  • Familiarity with local codes and commercial building standards. (Preferred)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Technical degree or trade school certification in HVAC. (Preferred)
  • Experience working with energy management systems or programmable controls.(Preferred)
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification and valid HVAC license required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
