Position Summary

Our company is seeking a Division Vice President of Nursing Informatics to join our executive team. This role provides strategic and operational nursing informatics leadership across a large, multi-hospital system. The ideal candidate is a transformational leader with deep clinical informatics expertise, a servant-leader mindset, and experience driving innovation through clinical technology initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a transactional leader supporting clinicians in the effective deployment and use of clinical information systems
  • Drive alignment and execution of informatics initiatives across facilities in partnership with senior clinical and IT leadership
  • Design and implement clinical workflows and optimization strategies that enhance safety, efficiency, and care quality
  • Lead the integration of clinical technology portfolios through training, change management, and adoption strategies
  • Collaborate with hospital and division leadership to address site-specific clinical and operational needs
  • Monitor performance metrics, provide data-driven insights, and recommend clinical informatics improvements
  • Support compliance with federal and state electronic health record (EHR) requirements, including meaningful use standards
  • Serve as executive sponsor for Clinical Informatics Council and support governance processes across the division

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of electronic health record systems, informatics tools, and healthcare data analytics
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills
  • Expertise in change management, clinical transformation, and provider engagement
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build partnerships across service lines and disciplines
  • Proficiency with advanced IT tools and data visualization platforms
  • Deep knowledge of evolving healthcare regulations, reimbursement models, and technology trends

Education & Experience

  • Texas RN license required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, or Business Administration required
  • National informatics certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Minimum 5 years of acute care clinical informatics leadership experience , including oversight of large-scale projects
  • Extensive Meditech experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and drive system-level strategies
