Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a critical, performance-based role that will directly support our current grill operations and help prepare for a future staff transition. The ideal candidate will have strong cooking skills, particularly with steak preparation, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare grilled menu items to order, including steaks cooked to specific temperatures
  • Maintain consistency and quality under high-volume conditions
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support a team culture that values speed, quality, and accountability

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate (Texas) – must be obtained before employment
  • Willingness to undergo a skills assessment, which may include preparing sample dishes
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Preferred)
  • Thick skin and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a male-dominated, high-energy kitchen environment (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with steak doneness and grill station operations (Preferred)

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of grill or line cook experience
  • Proven ability to cook steaks to order (without cutting into meat or overusing thermometers)
  • Experience in high-volume restaurants (Preferred)
