Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Management Specialist to design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework for South Dakota Medicaid systems in Sioux Falls, SD. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and best practices while identifying risks and recommending improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a Medicaid-related Data Governance and Management Plan.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to data governance and interface structures.
  • Recommend improvements for data governance, cataloging, and tools.
  • Collaborate with DSS and other state resources to align governance strategies.
  • Produce monthly progress reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, TOGAF)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance or management.
  • Experience implementing data governance programs.
