Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define/refine key automotive market application areas for the company
  • Within these areas identify:
    1. Key competitors and competitive analysis
    2. Set priorities for collateral generation and work with:BU, SS Apps, and sales
    3. Agree on how many per quarter with apps team for shared responsibility
  • Market analysis for automotive trends that are aligned with corporate focus and goals
    1. 48V related standards (EG VDA320)
    2. Functional Safety
    3. xEV and how these affect the company
  • Responsibility with Automotive System Solutions Lead for generation of automotive collateral
    1. Working with respective BU to maintain the automotive brochure and respective web pages
    2. Working with apps team and respective BU to create suitable apps related presentations
    3. Working with apps team and respective BU to create suitable apps related evaluation/demonstration boards.
    4. Sales (internal and external) training
  • Work with BUs to be familiar with their Automotive Roadmaps
    1. Monthly calls
    2. Quarterly training sessions

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good understanding of automotive market trends, application trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Will need to share internal updates with the Diodes Sales Team, as well as convey key messages to customers
  • Must have great problem-solving abilities and be able to think outside of the box
  • Proactive self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Must also have the capacity to multitask various marketing responsibilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the group

 Education & Experience

  • B.S. Engineering degree is preferred, but at least 3-5 years of automotive experience is required
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and moderate excel proficiency is required
