Nurse Practitioner (NP) - NC
Position Summary
A mission-driven behavioral health organization is seeking compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (Client) to join its growing team in Hillsborough and Wake Forest, NC. These facilities provide primary mental health care for adolescents (ages 12–18) in structured PHP and IOP settings that emphasize healing, resilience, and family connection - helping adolescents navigate significant behavioral health challenges.
Clinicians will work alongside a multidisciplinary team using evidence-based treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Medication management is not a primary focus, but may be discussed as part of an individualized, holistic treatment plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing clinical oversight for adolescent patients in PHP/IOP settings
- Collaborate closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and family systems to ensure integrated, patient-centered care
- Participate in treatment planning meetings, case consultations, and family sessions as needed
- Support and guide the treatment team in the application of evidence-based practices (DBT, CBT, mindfulness)
- Contribute to crisis stabilization and participate in on-call rotation for the facility's in-house crisis hotline
- Complete accurate and timely documentation and billing within organizational and regulatory standards
- Serve as a mentor for medical students and clinical trainees from Duke, UNC Chapel Hill, and NC State

Education & Experience
- Active Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred) or Physician Assistant license in North Carolina
- Experience working with adolescent psychiatric populations strongly preferred
