Assembly Technician I - Windsor, CO

Position Summary
Perform basic mechanical assembly and fabrication of products according to standard specifications and instructions in a shop environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all work safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA rules
- Custom fabrication of industrial control panels, junction boxes, and solar power skids
- Metal fabrication including cutting, drilling, taping, and forming enclosures, brackets, and panels
- Fiberglass enclosure modification
- Handling and mounting delicate electronic components
- Level I basic electrical wiring
- Assembly and fabrication of mechanical and pipe assemblies
- Compare actual materials used to Bill of Materials records for accuracy
- Keep accurate records for time tracking, inventory, and quality
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Package and prepare projects for shipment
- Perform housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard free
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and dexterity
- Proficient in using both hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand production blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Physical stamina: able to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull up to 60 lb
- Color discrimination to ensure proper wiring
- Strong teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of manufacturing or production experience
- Forklift operator certification or demonstrated ability to operate a forklift (preferred)
